WATCH THE TRAILER
One man disappeared. Two friends went looking.
Finding Kurt is an independent documentary filmed in Akron, Ohio — a raw and deeply human story about homelessness, friendship, faith, addiction, loss, and hope.
When Kurt vanished from the streets, the search to find him led into hidden camps, unexpected conversations, and the lives of people often passed by but rarely known.
ABOUT THE FILM
Finding Kurt follows Jordan Work and Ryan Block as they search through Akron for their missing friend Kurt.
What begins as a simple question — “Where is Kurt?” — becomes a journey into the overlooked corners of the city and the people who live there.
Along the way, the film explores themes of friendship, homelessness, addiction, and faith, revealing how hope can persist even in the hardest circumstances.
The film is intimate, honest, and hopeful — a reminder that every person has a name, a story, and a life worth seeing, and that sometimes grace is found in the places we least expect.
