We are hoping to raise $1,250 to help cover festival submission fees, FilmFreeway costs, and other small distribution-related expenses.
This is a simple, friend-supported effort to help get the film in front of festival programmers, audiences, and communities who care about stories of homelessness, faith, friendship, and hope.

ABOUT THE FILM
Finding Kurt is an independent documentary filmed in Akron, Ohio.
When Kurt disappeared from the streets, two friends set out to find him. What began as a search for one man became a deeper journey into homelessness, faith, addiction, unlikely friendship, loss, and hope.
The film is raw, personal, and deeply human — a story about the people we often pass by, the lives we rarely understand, and the grace that can still be found in hard places.
WHY WE’RE RAISING MONEY
The next step for Finding Kurt is submitting to film festivals.
Festival submissions give independent films a chance to be seen by programmers, audiences, and communities beyond their hometown.
Our goal is to raise $1,250 to help cover:

FilmFreeway costs
Screener and delivery materials
Other festival/distribution-related expenses
